Today I convinced DH that we needed to walk the dogs with the stroller soon because the first time we do I don't want to have an infant in there and if they freak out I want to have time to get them used to it. He thought I was crazy but told me that if I pushed the stroller he would go.
Other than feeling goofy being 7.5 months pregnant and pushing a stroller with a doll in it (DH had buckled her in earlier figuring out how the straps work) I'd say it went FABULOUSLY. Basically the dogs didn't care and if anything it helped them to remember that they have to NOT go towards the middle of the street.
Collins did walk in front of it once and got a bit rolled over but other than giving it the 'skeptical cat is skeptical' look was fine. And if she did that with a baby in the stroller it would be fine.
So YAY! One less thing to have to worry about!!
Re: Took the puppers on a test walk
Yay! Glad the pre-walk went well! It's a great idea, I think it sounds smart.
Besides, if the people you walked by weren't looking closely, maybe they could think you were babysitting someone else's kid or having baby #2?
