Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

AW First 5K
I ran my first 5k today! Reading all of your expert advice was so helpful as I prepped for today!
I finished slower than my goal (30m), at 32:38. However, I was 4th in my age group (25-29)! I was just a minute from 3rd, darnit.
Sound slow? It may have been the sustained 35-40 mph winds, or the 246ft incline (was not a loop). Our airport has stopped all flights in & out as it has picked up even more this afternoon. Yuck. It was tough weather & a tough course, but finishing was FABULOUS!
Thanks to all of you for being such an encouraging group. I love seeing all of your great accomplishments, & I'm anxious for my upcoming races!
