Have you ever seen this?
I was cleaning our tub/shower the other day with a scrub brush and when I went over the drain, it popped off pieces of a layer....of something. It looks like the thickness of white paint. I've never seen this with a tub before.
I am renting and I will be calling my landlord, but has anyone ever seen this before? HD was even confused. I saw some product in their repairs aisle to re-epoxy, but I think it would be for the entire tub not just fixing the patch. But it's clear that we need to fix something otherwise it will keep peeling.

The enamel probably flaked up.
yeah, that is what I am assuming, I just thought the whole tub was made of one material. Oddest thing I've seen in awhile.
