Cats with open wound on outside of ear
We just noticed an open wound, about the size of a quarter or so, on our male cat's ear. Our best guess is that our female cat got a piece of him - they do tend to "play" a few times a day.
It is red, but not oozing or crusted. Our plan is to call the vet tomorrow morning, but is there anything we should be looking at in the mean time?
FWIW, neither of our cats go outdoors, his appetite and demeanor have not changed, and he is not licking or scratching the area.
