B&A pip & wdyt chalkboard labels

I had my husband build these shelves a few months ago for some extra storage in our small kitchen.  They turned into crap collectors!  

 

 

A little spray adhesive and diapers & wipes boxes, and ta da!  I shopped the house for some decorative stuff.  And added the $0.14 sticky back fabric paper to the picture frame & H.  The little crate is stuck to the shelf with velcro - it's where I keep my camera so it's always accessible, but I was terrified it was going to fall and break.   

I think they look a little plain, so I did a mock up with chalkboard labels.  Yay or nay?

I'd skip the labels personally. It's handy for sure but I'm just tired of words and labels on everything lately I think.

I think it looks better with the labels, because they give them a finished look, but it could just as easily be a pretty motif of some sort.   I just think without something on  it it looks too plain and kind of like covered boxes. kwim?

This is my thinking too. I would do patterned  decals (stickers?) instead.

I like the idea of the labels, but I would make the font one size, much smaller and a nicer font.
