I've been eyeing these wedge sandals, but I'm short (5'2") and a bit chubby for my height (size 6)- I can say that my legs could definitely look more toned and skinner.
I wanted to know if you can pair wedges with shorts or skirts? I always feel like a hooch, but I don't know if this fear is rational or irrational. My skirts are definitely to knee-length (no mini skirts for me), and my shorts lengths either fall to my knees or halfway in b/w my butt and knees (no short shorts- they're sensible lengths).
Here's the wedges I'm looking at (sorry not clicky- on Macbook): http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=35288&vid=1&pid=429818&scid=429818002
Here is how they look with shorts (the length I'd wear my shorts): http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=65552&vid=1&pid=442735&scid=442735022
Can I pair these wedges with shorts and skirts if I'm petite?
eta: If yes, should I go for the gold or brown color?
Re: Petite girls- do you think shorts/skirts with wedges make you look hoochie?
I think wedges look great on shorter girls. As long as the skirt/shorts aren't too short or tight I'd say you're perfectly fine. Not hoochie at all.
I'd go with brown for the wedges (more versatile)
I mostly wear wedges with skirts and I'm 5'3. I think they look fine, as long as the skirt isn't too short.
I'd also go with the brown wedge, I'm not a huge fan of the gold look.
