Baptism gifts?

We were just asked to be godparents for my bff/ian's cousin's little girl.  How would you give for a baptism gift?  Or what was the favorite thing you received for a gift for your LO's baptism?

We gave her brother a framed cross with his name & baptism date, a knitted hat and maybe something else small, but I can't entirely remember.  I'm assuming I should do a little more since this is a god child???

This sounds good. My godparents always gave me savings bonds growing up for my birthday and Christmas and they came in handy when I was a broke college student.

Julia's godmother got her a pandora bracelet with a cross charm.  It's cute because she has bought her little charm for each event in her life so far (first christmas, birthday, etc) and plans to continue buying them for her.  

I have also seen the "add-a-pearl" necklaces that I think are cute.  If you haven't seen them, you add a pearl to the necklace each year for the little girls birthday/christmas/whatever.  Then, for her sweet sixteen she has a full strand of pearls to wear.

I have an add-a-pearl that never got added to...lol...but I"m going to look into them.

I actually looked at that exact cross!!

Theyre bith nice... Go with whichever one you wish youd have had as a baptism momento
