Best Point and Shoot?

My dear camera of 5 years has pretty much bitten the dust. I would like to replace it with a smaller but still quality camera. I had a Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS andI really enjoyed it except for its bulk. What are some good quality cameras that aren't too pricey that I could replace it with? I'm trying to stay around $150 and I really don't care about professional quality since I am not a photographer, I just like taking pictures and my iPhone's camera quality is pretty crappy. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Best Point and Shoot?

  • I loved my Nikon Coolpix S9100. Recently lost it on a trip to Europe - but it was by far my favorite point & shoot. I think it's a little more than $150, but even if you went down a notch to the 6100 or 6300 - they are GREAT cameras. Quick shutterspeed.

I got a Sony Cybershot to replace my Nikon, but they're a little more pricey.
