PIP: Can you help me figure out a way to make this?
In my previous post, I was mentioning how I am making star cookies for my friend?s daughter?s birthday party. The party theme is Dora the Explorer, and there are these stars that are characters on the show.
I am planning on using Ashlee?s Famous Sugar Cookie recipe, frost with buttercream icing, but I don?t know how to put on 2 eyes and a smile. I can?t use buttercream since it?ll be difficult to do? but do you think I should pipe the buttercream on to make the eyes and smile?
I was thinking fondant, but haven?t done them much at all, and I?m already pressed for time.
Any help would be appreciated!

Re: PIP: Can you help me figure out a way to make this?
Sorry the pic was confusing. I want to make sugar cookies cut into the shape of the star. Then I will be frosting it with buttercream, and then need to somehow add the (2) eyes and a smile (similar to the picture in the post).
I would think a buttercream would work. I usually use a royal frosting with sugar cookies when I'm decorating.
I loooove the idea of the candy eyes though- look like fun!
I highly recommend using the bottles to flood the icing. It is SO easy. I plan on buying these in the next week or so, just because I want to have more on hand for Easter cookies.

This bottles are also very good when you want to apply edible glitter to your cakes or cookies.
