Anyone else's dog stay in an empty crate? Daisy gets a bone and that's it. She eats everything.
Re: Nothing in crate
We were (still are I guess) very inexperienced when it came to having a puppy. Even more so with crate training (both of us had dogs before but never in a crate.)
Some how we lucked out. We didn't know better and our 5 month old bulldog has always had a bed, blanket and soft toys in his crate. He has never once destroyed anything. Early on he peed a couple of times, but hasn't done that in a while. He has a thing for sleeping on cushy things, so I guess he figured out destroying his bed would not be a good idea.
From day 1 he has always preferred to chew on hard things like metal, wood and bones. So it could be that.
