What's everyone been up to this week?
I wanted to start things off and reveal my new faux built-ins in our living room/library. We did this project over the weekend and I'm really happy with how it came out. We used Billy bookshelves from Ikea and added baseboard, crown and trim. I love how the bright green really ties in with our curtains without being overboard, like it would have been if all of the walls were this color. Check it out:

I posted about our new curtains yesterday too
Re: Blog Tuesday!!
With all this warm weather I have been a bad blogger. I'm working on a new design and will be better. Here are some of the white kitchens I posted about last week:
Meredith - I love that light green color! The bookcases really look great.
I posted about how I did my no sew roman shade from a mini blind in our kitchen.
And I posted a recipe for homemade chocolate syrup in 5 minutes. It's so easy and sooo good.
Wow! I absolutely love what you've done! Beautiful! I wish I didn't have so much brown i my house. I love the white! Your chandelier looks really pretty. If you don't mind, where did you get it? I am in the market for a few but don't want to spend a fortune (yours is probably out of my price range)!

Thanks! I actually got it for a steal, at around $100!! It looks much more expensive than it is. It's from Home Depot, but they are sold out, so I bought it on eBay. http://www.homedepot.com/buy/lighting-fans/chandeliers/chrome-finish-6-light-maria-theresa-chandelier-38250.html
Here's one on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hampton-Bay-Maria-Theresa-6-Light-Acrylic-Crystal-Chandelier-/290685605745?pt=Chandeliers&hash=item43ae365771#ht_500wt_842

I shared my 90% complete Office/Craft Room makeover. I'm especially proud of the desk, as I made it out of 2 free old file cabinets and a $5 door from Habitat's ReStore:) http://www.suburbanspunkdesign.com/2012/03/almost-complete-officecraft-room-reveal.html
