Behr Porpoise

Has anyone used this for their bedroom? Is it too dark?

We are looking for a true grey with no undertones. We probably want to go with Behr paint.

Re: Behr Porpoise

  • We had it in our master bed and bath in our last house, and I really liked it! It did have a little bit of purple/lavender to it. We have BM Chelsea Grey in our new master, and although it's quite a bit darker, I like it better. It feels more like a true grey to me.

I agree with this. I have it in my master bedroom, I came on here looking for a true gray and this was recommended. It does have just a little hint of lavender. But both DH and I really like it. It is definitley not too dark and looks good with both black and white accents/trim/furniture.

  • I have it in my main living area and it definitely has a lot of purple/lavendar.  I think my walls show it more because my room is 2 story and it has large windows which bounce the color from the sky into the room.  I think it's actually pretty light...I wish it was a bit darker and a bit warmer.  It goes well with a lot of colors though, warm and cool.
  • It is one of my favorite colors.  There should be some pics in my bio.  We used it in our main living area in our last house.  We are renting now, but I'd totally use it again.  I didn't find it particularly purple.  I think it depends on the lighting.

  • We used this for our entire downstairs, stairway, and hallway.  I like that it is a saturated color without being too dark.
  • I used it to paint a dresser and agree it's got some purple tones to it.  When my mom saw it she actually said, "Oh, I like how you painted that dresser purple!"
