Hi ladies!
I've lurked on your board for a few days and I would like to ask you a question, but first I want to introduce myself....
I'm a new-ish runner (started last June, have run 2 5Ks and am running my first 10K in April). In addition to working full time, I am also a professional bellydancer (perform and teach) and a yoga instructor.
My question is about my upcoming 10K - I'm doing the Presidio 10 in San Francisco. I am not nervous about the distance - I haven't yet run more than 5.5 miles but that is only because I don't have enough time to run for longer than an hour (and I'm slow!). I am sure I will be able to do the distance without much of a problem.
What worries me is the hills and the stairs - I've heard the entire first half of the race is uphill, and then there are stairs up the Golden Gate bridge....that makes me nervous! I've been trying to incorporate hills into my runs but they kick my butt! And i still get winded climbing to the third floor of my office building every morning :-(
Has anyone done this run? Is it really hard? What are the hills like? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!
