How did you decorate around your flat screen TV? Need help PIP
My husband just got a new TV. I originally had a hutch on this TV stand, but had to take it off because the TV was too big to fit inside. We just moved into a place, and have this huge blank wall to work with. I have another print similar to the one on the wall (I was just messing around to see how it looked) I could do a large clock, shelves? Large canvas photos of the kids? What are your thoughts, and what did you do around yours? If you have pics I would love to see them. Thanks!

Re: How did you decorate around your flat screen TV? Need help PIP
I have 2 prints on either side:
We just had a wall unit built to house our flat screen TV. We have such a small condo that having a custom built unit was the best way to not waste space.
I love the dark color on your wall. I would actually think about anchoring the space with a tall book shelf on one side and a round lamp table with a substantial lamp on the other side. I like the shape of the picture and it would look great over a lamp table. (The only suggestion with the picture would be that it could be a bit larger...)
I don't know that I would put anything over the TV.
Have fun!
I don't like a lot of stuff around the TV, because I find it distracting when I am watching. I also don't really like symmetry, so I tend to not center the TV on the wall and stick stuff on either side. I like to put it off center so that I can still put something on other part of the wall without it being too close or too distracting.
Our TV is on a smallish wall that is next to a hall, so we put a small table with a plant on it at the end there to break that intersection up a little, and we used to have a small mask on the wall above the plant. We kind of wanted the adjacent wall (with the fireplace) to be more of a focus as you walk into the room, so there is art and mantel decor on that wall.
I like how they used ceiling medallions on the wall behind their flat screen for decor. Pic is from Nuestra Vida Dulce.
What color are your walls painted? I love it!
Sorry I have no ideas as I'm trying to decorate around a tv as well.
I wanted to know where you got your TV stand?? I'm looking for something similar.
I will try to find out today on the paint color. We just moved nd are renting because we will only be in this city for a year. The owner has paint cans in the garage. I'll also try to take a picture in the daylight so that you can see the true olor. It's almost like a plum/ brown color.
