Problem

I have to find a home for my foster kitty, but now that I've put feelers out I have the feeling that no stranger is going to be up to my standards.

The problem is I want to keep her, but I can't. Hunnie bullies my submissive cat and it wouldn't be fair since Mimi was here first- but now that I'm all attached to her I don't know if I could just send her off to some strange new family and never be able to see her again.

The best option would be that one of my local friends or family could take her, but I've exhausted those channels trying to find someone. I'm feeling stuck :o/

Re: Problem

  • This is a common issue with fosters.  Every time we get a new foster, I have to remind everyone in our house that this is not our pup.  I even have to remind myself quite often.  We had a hard time letting go of one.  J was determined to get one of the guys from work to adopt him and did.  We went to a great family who love him to death.

My suggestion, keep searching.  You'll find a place that will work out great.  Just try to keep an open mind about people.

  • This is why I could never foster. I'd want to keep every single animal and we'd become animal hoarders. I hope you find a nice home for the kitty. I also wanted to tell you, because I knew you'd appreciate it, one of my dad's friends took a "barn cat" in because she had kittens three weeks ago and I got to see them yesterday. I wanted to offer to take one when they're old enough but my dogs play too rough so that wouldn't be safe for a kitten and FIL would probably lose his mind if I brought home more animals lol. Sorry for the thread jack.

    Same here.
