Painting walls & ceiling same color

Has anyone done this? How did it turn out?

I'm thinking of doing this in a smallish guest bathroom in a light paint color.

The ceiling will appear darker because of the way light hits it.  It's a fine look, just know that going in.

If you're not sure you'd like that, buy a piece of posterboard and paint it with the sample jar and tape it to the ceiling with painter's tape to see.  Maybe get 2 pieces of posterboard and do one on the ceiling and one right next to it on a wall.

We  did that in our powder room, and I love it.  Since it does look a little darker on the ceiling, it is a nice effect and really expands the room where the white ceiling was kind of jarring and seemed to emphasis the small size of the room.

I did this in our dining room and like it.  If I remember, I'll take a picture tomorrow and post it.

We have done this in a couple of rooms.  We really like the way it looks and it is soooo much easier.

Thanks for the info everyone! Looks like I'll be painting the ceiling as well based on your comments. I'm going to paint the bathroom today, so I'll follow-up with pics of how it turned out.
