I need an Italian pork loin recipe...

Anyone have a good one? Also if I cook it in a big roaster what temp should I cook it at? I am cooking about 15 pounds for a dinner party...

Re: I need an Italian pork loin recipe...

  • the only italian version i know is from a cooking class i took in tuscany 2 years ago but it wasn't roasted, it was poached in milk with herbs on the stove and it certainly wasn't 15lbs :)
Friday, December 28 2012. The day I had emergency appendix surgery in Mexico and quit smoking. Proof that everything has a good side!! DH and I are happily child-free!! No due date or toddler tickers here!! my read shelf:
Alison's book recommendations, favorite quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)
  • I have a recipe for Italian oven-braised pork chops with red onions and bosc pears from Lidia's Italian Kitchen which is made with honey and red win vinegar in the sauce and a balsamic reduction.  The flavors are definitely tasty.

Let me know if you want and I can post later - I know it's a pork chop recipe so it's not quite the same but I bet you can still.use those flavors.  I'll check if there is a loin recipe in my book.

I did find this when I googled:

I haven't tried these personally but Lidia Bastianich is very well known for Italian cooking.
