You guys, I cannot stop thinking about the Dot lookalike. UPDATED

DH is TOTALLY right when he says that adding another dog to the mix is too much stress for Cat.  He'd really be happier (I think) in a one-pet household and we already have added a 2nd cat and a dog to the mix (over time, not all at once, obviously).  His stress level (and resultant behavioral issues) have increased with each addition, so I know he's affected by new pets.  Our former vet actually came out with "He's really more of a one-cat-household cat" so I know other people think the same way ... but I just can't get that happy, hopeful face out of my mind!

Someone talk me down ... make me feel better about NOT adopting that beautiful senior girl.  Crying

  • It sounds like it's just not right for your family, but maybe you can take her on as your special "project" and find her a home? Pimp her out on Facebook, volunteer to take her to adoption events or to the park for the day, etc.

    I really like this idea!

  • What a great idea!  I sent an email to the rescue!

UPDATE: Got an email back and they don't want/need any help.  So I hope she finds a good home soon, but there's really nothing I can do, I guess.  Sad
