PW: Hobbes is going to the vet tomorrow
I could use some T&Ps ... since Cat is better, I made an annual/physical appointment for Hobbes. He's about 4-5 months overdue for his shots and annual, but he's such a nightmare at the vet, I wanted to verify that I like this vet before I take him in ... and I love our new vet.
So, can I get all the good vibes you can offer? Mainly that he doesn't maim anyone, but more specifically that he can stay calm long enough for them to get a thorough annual done. I'm just generally nervous that they won't be able to do a thorough exam - he hasn't had one since he was under anesthesia in 2009 because of how badly he behaves.
Re: PW: Hobbes is going to the vet tomorrow
I have two cats that were absolutely horrible at our last vet. I mean I didn't take them there unless they needed something very serious - I did our own rabies vac's at home and that was that!
We recently moved to a new city, and got a new vet. We have a busy summer ahead and thought we may need cat boarding at some point - so I wanted to get them all vaccinated up just in case. I took them in their separate carriers, and one by one carefully got them out of the crates (mind you - it took me two hours to get them in there!). They did so well at the new vets, no clawing, hissing, or biting! And they even gladly went back into their carriers, no questions asked! Since they were behaving so well, they even got their claws trimmed (a job we hate to do at home, since it is always a struggle).
Good luck and think happy thoughts! I warned everyone at the vet how bad they were when I made the appointment..I'm sure they thought I was crazy! haha
