Lurker here with a question...
My dog,Jigs chomps her teeth every night in her sleep. It's about 30 minutes into her sleep when it begins and goes on for about 45 seconds or so.
Have you heard of this? From what I read it can also be a sign she is seizing, but I'm sure this isn't the case with her.
She also barks, runs and growls in her sleep which I know is common, but chomping is new to me.
Thank you!
Re: chomping in sleep?
Cooper has been doing something similar a lot lately (well, maybe he's done it all along but Ive just noticed it now that he's been sleeping by me on the bed/couch more lately). He'll like...lick or swallow a ton or something w/his mouth closed? I can't even describe it other then that its super weird. It also doesn't last very long & he'll leave a big ole drool spot there too Lol. I don't think anything of it, if it went on longer then 5 minutes, then I think I might. But since he's completely 100% relaxed & asleep, it doesn't/hasn't worried me.
He also barks/yips/runs in his sleep too, always makes me smile. Too cute!
