I have no real preference when it comes to looks, but I prefer no foot board only because I can't do a full stretch in the morning.

I prefer a footboard, but I don't have one right now because my room isn't big enough.

Both DH and I are somewhat wild sleepers, so if we don't have them our blankets (and sometimes, pillows) end up on the floor.

A footboard is a must for us.

Ours doesn't curve, but "this" to the rest   I love my bed!

We have a low footboard. We are both tall so we wouldn't want a tall one.

Being 6'2" myself, I can understand you H's pov... 

I have a mission style bed with a footboard and SO and I can not wait to get rid of it. This bed is on our "list." We like the fact that it looks finished all around, but there is not footboard to get in the way of my toes when they hit the bottom of the mattress.

I don't care but DH insists... Which is why I don't have new bedroom furniture yet! It's hard for us to agree on anything!

I also have a footboard that is lower than the mattress. I like to sit on the end of the bed. In our old house we didn't have the room for a bench or anything at the end of the bed.

Saying that, I voted as though I didn't have a footboard because I didn't think it counted as one.
