D&J

Didn't you fall at work MONTHS ago? Are you still in pain from that??

Re: D&J

  • Yes.... months ago!  In October I was bringing groceries in and tripped over my cat.  I fell on my wrist and tailbone.  I think I was in so much pain from my wrist that I didn't realize my back was sore.  Then like a month later I thought my back was hurting from my shoes or working out.  Finally it dawned on me that it was probably from falling.

I've had x-rays done and nothing is fractured or broken.  My PCP said that I should go get a cortisone shot, but the thought of a needle in my back freaks me out.  A co-worker suggested that I try a chiropractor before going to the orthopedic doctor.  So that's what I'm doing now.  I'm getting a little bit of relief from the chiro visits, but the pain isn't close to being gone.  I think I'm going to give the chiropractor a few more weeks before moving on to the next step.

lol... Sorry... that was way more than you probably wanted to know!!

  • I think I have your fall mixed up with someone else, but holy cow! I hope you get all figured out and you finally get some relief!

  • Thanks.  Me too!
  • Ouch!! Hope you get better soon. If the Ortho suggest cortisone I say do it. I had to get a cortisone injection into my big toe (in the joint where the toe meets your foot). I was seriously freaked about having it done. My guy numbed up my foot realy well first. I'm not going to lie and say it was a piece of cake and for the next day I thought I made the biggest mistake ever. On the 2nd or 3rd day it dawned on my that I had absolutely no pain in my foot at all. It was a miracle drug for me and when the pain comes back (bone spur) I will suck it up and do it again.
