Recommend your vacuum that's not a Dyson
Please recommend your vacuum that's not a Dyson. Thanks ladies!
Re: Recommend your vacuum that's not a Dyson
we have the hoover windtunnel rewind, rated higher than the Dyson by consumer reports and 1/4 of the price! I bought it on sale at Target with my Target card 5% off.

Good to know! I started looking around on Amazon a bit, and this was on my preliminary list.
I do not recommend our Bissell Cleanview Helix, and probably won't buy a bag less vacuum next time.
What do you not like about the bagless vacuums? We've only had bagged ones, and I hate changing out the bag, so I was thinking of getting a bagless one this time.
We have two vacuums, a Hoover Platinum bagless and the Shark Navigator
The Hoover is a Dyson competitor and it has a ton of suction, great on carpets, not so awesome on bare floor. It is heavy and its not really of any use on stairs.
The shark has pretty good suction, its really light and easy to use, LOVE that the can comes off and the stair tool is great. Negative with the shark is they don't sell parts, so once is dies it needs to be replaced. It has gotten clogged a few times.
TTC since Feb 2012
Diagnosed with PCOS and anovulation
2 round clomid 1 round femara--no response
1st round injectables/IUI 1/31---BFP!
I have a Shark Navigator too...and I love it!
Like PP said, it's lightweight, the suction is good etc.
I also had my carpets cleaned last month and the guy asked me what kind of vaccum I had because my carpets looked good/not a lot of ground in dirt/chunks/hair etc. He was impressed.
It's a good value for the money.
It does suck they don't sell parts but it's also a $200.00 vaccuum...I think very few vacs in that price range have more than belts for sale anyways. Mine is also almost 4 years old and as long as I rinse the filter a couple times a season I never have an issue.
My mom has a Kenmore Progressive and while it's on the pricy side, I swear she'd leave my Dad for it...lol.

Not everything goes into the container to be dumped out. I have to use a chopstick or my hand to reach up into the canister and grab all of the dirt. It's disgusting. MIL has the same issue with her bag less Dyson.
