Food question...chicken?

I diced up chicken breast and mixed it with salt, pepper, and garlic.

Will it keep raw in the fridge ok until Friday evening for dinner, or should I cook it?

I know it won't go bad, but will it get slimy like chicken does sometimes or anything? It's in a tupperware container.

Re: Food question...chicken?

  • Salt works like a preservative so your chicken should be fine. If anything, I think being marinated in the spice mix for that long will really enhance the flavor.

  • I do this quite often (make a batch of chicken and stick in fridge to use in different recipes over the course of a couple days).

As long as it is in marinade it's fine for me. It's when it's chopped plain it goes slimy on me. (Which is yuck, but it usually goes away when I cook it).
