Remember the expensive fabric for my familyroom inspiration...

that i paid $160 for ONE yard?!  Well KickinWingg just brought to my attention that BBB has the exact 20 inch pillows (same fabric) for $25! OMG, i got robbed. And with a couple 20% off coupons I could have gotten each pillow for $19.

As of right now, the fabric just got into the store to be picked up, they will not give me a refund. However, a possible 30% cancellation fee may be in the works. So possibly a 70% refund. But i am guessing not.

Um, WTF do I do? Buy 2 pillows from BBB and use the yard for something else? I originally wanted 4 of the floral pillows but wasn't going to be able to make 4 with 1 yard.

I am so bummed you have no idea. Flushing $ right down the toilet. If my husband finds out he will kill me!

Re: Remember the expensive fabric for my familyroom inspiration...

  • Can you do 4 pillows with it as the fronts and a neutral as the back?  I don't know the backstory.

And are you sure it's the same fabric?  Or just the same pattern?  I used to think all fabric was created equal until my mom explained to me the differences b/c she quilts.  It's amazing how different one fabric at joann's and one fabric from a fabric store feel completely different in your hand.

  • Ack!  Sorry, I wasn't sure if I should have shown you that after already ordering your fabric.

I'm sure the fabric you ordered is way better quality than the pillow at BBB.  Since 4 pillows at BBB would cost $100 and you'll get 4 pillows from your fabric (with a neutral back) you're not that far behind.  Plus, if you do a neutral back you have more versatility, it's like having 8 pillows since you can flip them over for a different look.

  • I would definitely lay eyes on the BBB one before you cancel anything...if I remember correctly the ones you like were very richly embroidered, and that richness and sheen was part of what made them so attractive.  I would want to be sure the BBB ones aren't just a cotton print of the same pattern.
