we have no wall where your tv is but i think i'll put tv where your fireplace is....

I had a feeling when you wrote about having a big wall that it meant our fireplace wall. I would love to have our TV where the fireplace is but we didn't want the TV over the fireplace (and it's not a good angle for watching there anyhow).
It's a great flow with the kitchen. I LOVE being able to entertain and have guests in the livingroom and I can still take care of kitchen duties. That's pretty much what sold us on this house. People always end up congregating at the breakfast counter. We actually need to buy some stackable stools that we can store and take out when guests come because of that.
Thats great to hear! we didn't get a fireplace but he put something there so if we decide to put one later we couild easily do it. we are building a home at the moment and LOVED this floor plan
we also extended our island for that reason and added a little a part that goes up on it where the stools will be. I also had them take down the partial wall and add the column....sounds dumb but i love decorative columns! i've always wanted one i love the way they look
