Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

QOTD

Do you easily see another person's point of view in a conversation or does it take you awhile to sit back, process and respond?

Re: QOTD

  • It depends on how passionate I am about my own position. If the conversation isn't emotionally charged then it's pretty easy for me to see the other side. If it is emotionally charged I have to take a step back, but if I put forth the effort I'm able to do so- at least I think I am.

  • Yes and no.  Work wise, I always try and see each side.  Personal wise, I tend to be a bit more stubborn, but I'm working on it.
  • Usually.  Depends on the situation.

  • I always see both sides of the story. I think it makes it easier to compromise. Unless they're outrageous. Which is usually how it is with my little sister. "I understand what your saying, but it's just wrong" comes out of my mouth in half of our conversations.
