Paint oak trim?

Hi, My house was built in the 80's and has the 80's oak trim everywhere. We had dark reddish hardwood floors installed a few yrs back but the trim looks dated. I see all the images with white trim and they make the floor and wall colors pop. Would you paint the oak trim? Our house is approx 3000 sq ft so replacing all the trim isn't an option for us right now.

We are also getting new interior doors to upgrade from the builder-grade ones so if I painted white do I need to buy white interior doors or could we buy wood and stain to coordinate with the floors? Also,we have 2 young kids. TIA!

We're moving into a house that sounds similar and we're planning to paint the trim white. The doors have already been replaced and are white, so we plan to make it all match.

We're painting all of ours.  Here's a blog post I did showing our upstairs hallway.  Our doors were already white, although I need to repaint them to match the brighter paint now.
