What style would you call this? *clicky*
I am having a hard time finding tablecloths (yes, I am still looking) for casual dining. All the ones that I absolutely love are too small for my table. I found a couple at PB that will fit. I don't really shop there. I am more of a C&B than PB girl, but the tablecloths at the former are too small for my table. These are the best of what I have seen that I can afford (The one I really love is $307, but I am sorry, I am not paying that no matter how great the quality is or how much I love it, plus napkins!) and I do like them, but I am not sure what style category they fall in. I like transitional decor, which I think they may work, but wanted your thoughts. I would be using plain white dinnerware. My DR is painted BM November Skies. Here are the two that I found. What do you think?
Monterey Stripe
Parker Stripe (I don't think this one would compliment or match my color scheme, but it is bright a fun. I have not seen it in person, so the green might work.)

I like them both. Maybe if you PIP'd "November Skies" (mycolor.com has good pics of colors) that would help.
Or even better, PIP the one you really like but can't afford, and we'll see if we can find something similar for cheaper.
I think the website address is incorrect that you gave me. Let's just say that what I got had nothing to do with paint...
I can't PIP it, but here is the link. To get the size I need customized it is $307, not even kidding. I know it is simple, but I like the clean hemstitched look and they have some fun colors, though I haven't decided which I would get. I happened by the website by mistake when I was looking for a table pad. I almost fell over when I saw the prices of some of the tablecloths and linens they sell. I am sure they are very nice, though.
I appreciate the suggestion to make DIY, but I am just not motivated or talented enough to do it. I know it would be cheaper, but I am afraid that my version would also look that way, regardless of whether I sewed or taped it.
I don't love the stripes, but I like the blue better than the other one. I chose other. I like the hemstitched look. Could a 70 x 90 work? This one is only $41 and I think the green would look good with your blue-gray walls and you could use napkins to accent.
If it won't work, how about a fun textured one like these? I like the turquoise that comes in 70 x 108 and really like the gray that comes only in 70 x 90. Plus that whole website is having 25-30% off today. Also this same site has table runners in hemstitched linen that would look great. Would you consider that instead?
Are you united with the CCOKCs?
70x90 would work. It would be a smidge short on the length, but I could do it. I was hoping for something a little brighter, like a Granny Smith green or something like that. What napkins would you suggest as an accent if I go with the green? Would you suggest that one for "formal" use with my China (Mikasa Parchment) or would it not look right? I was thinking of maybe going for white with my China, but if the green one you suggested would work, even better because there would be less issues with staining.
I saw those patterned ones before. They are okay, but I don't love them. I wish the hemstitched table runner was available in my tablecloth size. They are so pretty.
LOL, oops! I meant myperfectcolor.com! That other site was...very much not D&R. :-) I'm glad I was too busy at work or I would have tried to go there to PIP it for you...that might have gotten me fired.
Anyway, now that I'm home, here's the PIP of November Skies:
LOL! Glad you didn't get into trouble!
It was quite a surprise, to say the least! Who hasn't had that happen?
Thanks, yep, that is our DR color. I really love the look of the WS hemstitch tablecloth you suggested. I like the color I just wish there were some more choices. The coordinating napkins are sold out.
Any suggestion on napkins if I go that way?
I keep going back to the blue/green striped PB one. DH really likes that one. I was thinking if I got that one that I could either get the coordinating napkins or these ones in cranberry. I think they would pull out what appears to be a small cranberry strip in the tablecloth, but it is hard to tell online.
To me that is obscene. I don't know anyone (personally) that would. The markup on that must be astronomical!
I like both stripes, but I'm not sure I could recommend either for your room unless I saw how the color "functions" in your space. It looks like a color that could almost read as a neutral, in which you might be able to get away with either. If it really pulls more blue, then I would not use the blue stripe, and I'd be a little concerned about the red stripe as well...
I think I would just go to the fabric store with paint swatch in hand, find a home decor. fabric you like and make one your self.... When I have made table cloths, I just add a boarder on the side to make the width what I want. It's really easy!
I don't like the stripes. Tablecloths are a PITA. I would have something made on etsy.
