Meal for new mom, travelling 3 hours
Most of my go-to new mom meals are out because I am driving 3 hours to visit my brother, and they don't have a lot of freezer space. So what would you bring that's yummy, relatively easy, will travel 3 hours in the car (can bring a cooler if needed), and CAN be frozen but also sit in the frig for a few days if they want to eat it next week?
Re: Meal for new mom, travelling 3 hours
Does it have to be a meal? I'm a big fan of bringing other things to new moms, since most people tend to go the meal route - muffins/scones or granola for breakfast; snacks like trail mix, veggies and hummus, and chips with homemade salsa; even something like pasta salad for lunches.
You could also just do something like make a big batch of marinara and that way it can be portioned to go in the freezer or the fridge, and you can just bring some (uncooked) pasta with you.
