healthy sides for sandwiches?
I put a couple sandwiches on our menu plan but I'd like something other than chips or macaroni salad.....any healthy ideas? tia.
Re: healthy sides for sandwiches?
any soups or salads
veggies/hummus or tapenade (like these on sandwiches too)
tomato/mozzarella
baked beans
green beans in vinagrette
potato salad (even without the mayo)
We sometimes make baked sweet potato wedges when we have sandwiches for dinner or a big green salad. Also, raw veggies and hummus are good, or fruit salad.
Spring Salad (Strawberries, spinach and poppy seed dressing)
Tomato-pecan salad (Sliced tomatoes, toasted pecans and a drizzle of balsamic viniagrette)
Kale Chips (http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/member/views/BAKED-KALE-CHIPS-50129603)
From Hey To Horses
Lemon Lentil Salad
Green Bean and Feta Salad
Avocado, Tomato & Red Onion Salad
Raw Kale Salad with Walnuts, Pecorino & Lemon
