I know this has been asked before but I can't remember what people said. I'm getting siding done on my house and wonder if angies list is worth paying for a month to find possible companies to do this. I don't live in a big metro area and don't know how many companies would even be rated.
Re: Anyone use Angies List
Go Phils!!
I have one and I think it's worth it. In our area they also have a "big deal" section where jobs like siding are offered for a certain price. Sort of like a groupon.
Companies are listed regionally, so it could include businesses in your county but I think they would make sure there were enough to choose from.
I got my membership through groupon and paid $10 for the year. Some companies have discounts mentioned and I've actually saved $15 using it once so far, so it paid for itself
.
When you log on you find the category you want - "siding" for example. It will list local companies with grades and the number of reports. When you click for more detail you can read reports that will list the date of the service, the grade given by the user, a description of the work done and the price they paid for that work. There is also a comments section for the writer to explain their rating and the company can write a response.
