~UA Girl~

If you don't mind me asking...what are you doing in order to lose weight? I'm not sure if you read my previous post but I've been working with a trainer and the results have been slow going. I'm starting to think that I can do better with a change in diet.

Re: ~UA Girl~

  • So far, I've just been watching what I eat.  I only eat between 1200-1500 calories a day, and have been able to find foods to keep me full.  I eat alot of protein and high fiber foods.  I need to get back to the gym, I pay for a membership, but I have had the cold from hell the last few weeks, and just haven't felt like it.

I lost about 20 lbs a few years back, but have gained 15 of it back since my wedding in June.  The first time around, I gave up all carbonated drinks.  I only drank water, crystal light, and tea.  Even now, I may have two sodas a month, but they are always diet and caffeine free.

  • maybe we can keep each other motivated. i saw the skinny b's on here but after a week or 2 i didn't see them anymore.
  • We're doing the biggest loser at work, so that is helping motivate me some, but any extra motivation is nice!  I also set small goals for myself.  My goal for November is to lose 5 lbs.  I need instant gratification, so setting small, easy to obtain goals like 5 lbs in a month is what keeps me going.  If I just said I want to lose 20 lbs, if it didn't happen right away, I would get frustrated and quit.

  • that's a good idea and the premise of WW. they would celebrate every 5 pounds. I'm still using their philosophy for my diet but decided to take that money and put it towards a trainer.
