This is the aspect of the internet that truly frightens me.  There are some sick-minded people out there who may be using the internet to vent their true tendencies, while what is manifested IRL is seemingly normal.  ICK.

Now, I'm not saying alabaster deserves to get harassed IRL over her posts, but just because we're all hiding behind computers doesn't mean that anything we say will never come back to bite us. I'm into civility even on Internet message boards. But maybe I'm just boring.

I was among the people originally pushing the board mods to create that board, because the baby-mania was everywhere, but within weeks that board got so incredibly cliquish and unpleasant.  I would never have dreamed that it would escalate to that, though.  Unbelievable.

That is heartbreaking. I didn't even notice the text. It's not even like she has pictures.

I kept a picture of my cat after she died for nearly a year. It was comforting to me for awhile, even if just in a small way. I feel better about moving away from it now (and it started becoming a downer for me, too) but it was good for me for awhile.  

Those biitches can right off.

The bolded + they started constantly talking about babies.  Even if it's in the frame of "why do you eat babies" and "what sort of 'stay out of my womb' comebacks can I use on my MIL's hairdresser's next door neighbor's smirky daughter" it's still about babies.

I can understand being upset about the dead baby photos some people on the bump have, but FFS.

I have Childfree friends (yes, that is capital C Childfree, no kids ever not ever), not childless (may or may not have kids someday). They call kids things like sprogs, crotch droppings, pets with thumbs, etc. One of my best friends is one of these people, I think a lot of it is funny. I completely 100% support people who know they don't want kids, never say "just you wait" or any of that crap. And yet, the BNOTB people are literally making me ill.
