Lurker needs some decorating direction.
OK gals, I could really use some design help. We have some basic/neutral stuff happening in our LR. We know our style (eclectic/ mixing old and new/artsy). I just am way to scared to pull the trigger on a rug, drapes, and lamps.
Here is my Olioboard with a photo of my LR. The walls are a very light grey, the couches are beige. I know the colors in the photo are a little off.
The frames are opposite the top couch. The ikea shelf is opposite the couch on the left.
Here is another pic.

Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?
I am happy to share other photos or answer any questions. Thanks so much for your help!!
Re: Lurker needs some decorating direction.
I think deciding an accent color is the problem. I like green, blue, teal, yellow, and orange, but am not set on one color.
I should say that under the frame wall, we will put a piano. We are waiting to get a free one off of CL. We will paint/ stain/ refinish it. We could go bright with it.
The LR is open to the dining room which has an dark grey SW paint.
Your furniture seems more modern. Any interest in something like this? You could go with the bright colorful one or the more neutral one.

I like it, but I dont think it is the one. (too something, I dont know the decorating genre. Contemporary maybe?)
Thank you for looking for me : )

Orange or blue

I think the stripe would work, but you would need more pattern than the first two. Did you like this one:

I do. Orange you think? Then what for drapes? Solid color, pattern?
