...or the charity truck picked up our newly delivered package( or maybe it was one package....not sure how they packed it) along with our donation.
I.just.want.to.cry.
I was going through my email a little while ago, and realized that I hadn't checked the tracking on some stuff that we ordered over the weekend. UPS said that it was delivered this morning to my front porch, while I was at the gym and the grocery store. The charity truck came by while I was gone too.
I wish that I had looked at that earlier. Now I have to wait until morning and call the charity to check with them. It was around $150 worth of stuff, and if they didn't pick it up by accident then we have no recourse.
I can't imagine anyone stole it off my porch. We have gotten a lot of deliveries, and have never had any problems...even when we were out of town and my neighbor forgot to pick up our packages. We had a KA mixer, and three good sized boxes of Christmas presents waiting on our doorstep when we got home from our trip that time.
It is spring break for the schools here, so there are actually more people home than usual .... more kids out playing and parents outside. Someone would have noticed someone hauling away a big box from my porch.
I don't think I am going to be able to sleep very well tonight. *sigh*
Re: :( Either someone stole packages off of our porch....
Oh no! I hope they picked it up on accident and can return it easily!!!

Losing it...Without Losing it
When we got home from DS' surgery on Friday, we found the small package with our heater control board in it ripped open and the packing slip missing (thankfully, it would have been a paypal receipt with nothing personal on it but our names) so we had to tell the mail lady about it so she wouldn't leave packages anymore. Stupid neighbor kids.
Hope your package is found safely.

My MIL had her latest delivery of wallpaper stolen from off her porch - when she was around the side of the house doing yard work. They are some ballsy people out there !!!
You guys aren't helping, with your stories of stolen packages....I am trying to stay positive here.
I just called the charity and they are checking with the driver and will call me back. ETA:they are just now unloading the trucks from yesterday and will be on the lookout for it. Crossed fingers/prayers/good vibes/found package dust/whatever would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Does it help that I once had a package delivered to the wrong house and those people brought it to us??? Because it's happened a few times.
I'll cross my fingers they got it by accident and they find it easily!

I had this happen to me once with a package. I just called the company and they resent me the items with no questions asked. I just said I never received the package even though it said it had been delivered. When they sent it the 2nd time they just made it so a signature was required. I have also had an occasion where online it said the package had been delivered but it wasn't delivered until a few hours later on.
If the package doesn't come up I hope the company that sent it has good customer service and will send it again.
Since you need happy stories---we had a very similar thing happen. In our case, we also had a FedEx pickup the same day and they accidentally took the package we were sending out and the package from UPS that had been delivered. They ended up returning it to us later that day.
Because of LA, we literally get UPS packages weekly (often several times a week). That was the only time we had an issue.
Hope your package comes home soon!

Another happy story - my wedding photographer sent my proofs, I stalked the tracking website, and saw they were delivered, and left at the side door. Only problem is I don't have a side door.
Turns out photographer put the wrong house number on the package and it was delivered across the street. Checked with the neighbors and they had the package, just hadn't called to return it yet.
Good luck!
