Anyone doing anything exciting this weekend? Will everyone be at the Hunger Games?
Hubby and I are having date night tonight.
Tomorrow my sister and I are going to Fit Club - basically, a bunch of people that get together and do a different workout video every weekend. It's really fun.
Hubby is gone all day Saturday so after Fit Club, I'm going to work on my master's thesis and order some Thai food.
Sunday, I'm not sure... maybe more thesis stuff and then tackle the office closet that has been giving me anxiety since I can barely open the door.

Re: Weekend Plans?
Fit Club sounds really fun! Workout DVD's are my normal source for exercise, that's a neat way to try out different ones!
I'll be going to a friends place for drinks this evening for a bit, then sleeping in late tomorrow morning, that's for sure.
Like you, my H will be gone all day on Saturday to play at the drag strip with his buddies, so I get to enjoy a day at home and hopefully catch some rays. Going to a wine bar for a bit in the evening and after the H gets back and we have dinner we are supposed to go hang at our friends' house.
I want to see that movie, but I think I am going to wait for a few weeks because of the hype.
Yeah, we're going to go see it next weekend so I'm looking forward to that.
Erin, fitclub is really a good time! It's fun to try all the different videos. Last time we did Turbo Fire and I thought I was going to DIE!

What is your thesis on?
Long story: Optimal Retail Site Selection for Luxury Small Businesses using Computer-Aided Geographic Information Systems.
Short story: It's a model to help businesses pick their next store-front.
BORING!

IMO, it does sound boring. But hey, I get bored easily. And I won't ever be writing a thesis so more power to you!

Tonight--Thai Happy hour
Tomorrow--Zumba, then cleaning/organizing and then our neighbor is breaking out the smoker for the first time this season.
Sunday--Zumba and maybe my parent's house? If not, laundry and relaxing.
Tonight my friend is coming to town for the weekend. We are going to eat Ethiopian food (I hope to convince her it is good), and play board games! Maybe throw some Mario Party in (because I'm 12).
Tomorrow I am going to see The Hunger Games (and I don't plan to drink anything before then because it is 2.5 hours long and I don't trust my bladder).
Sunday I am sleeping in, and hanging around with the cats until Mad Men comes on! Which I am sooo excited for.
I'm kind of a homebody, but I love it.
Tonight we're going to see a movie at a beautiful old theatre (that also serves wine
). Trying to decide between "The Artist" and "A Separation". Then we're going to a tapas place for dinner.
Tomorrow is the Beer, Bourbon & BBQ festival all day! Some friends will come back to our place for a low-key night after that.
Sunday we're helping a friend move (blech).
I took Monday off to do nothing at all. I hope the weather is still nice so I can read outside all day.
Today DH and I are going to San Francisco, because he has work.
I'm not really sure about our weekend plans. The theme park that's within walking distance is opening this weekend, but it's supposed to be a bit chilly. The adult side of me is saying "you'll have all summer to play at the theme park" but the child in me is saying "theme park! let's go! just wear a sweater!".
I'm betting the child side wins out
My boss didn't tell me he was not going to be in today, but now that I know that, I'm leaving around 3pm to catch a train to CT. My aunt and I are going to pick up takeout (and down a quick margarita) and bring it up to my mom and sister at my parents' house. It's gorgeous today, I can't wait to leave!
Tomorrow is shopping and pedicures with my little sis who just broke up with her first bf. Then my family is going out to dinner for my brother's birthday.
Train back on Sunday to be reunited with H, who will be home from Vegas around dinner time. Yay!
That sounds like a lot of fun
I think you should go.
This is the best kind of day! And on a Friday makes it even better!
Tonight I'm going to a b-day celebration for a coworker. Her friends planned dinner at a sushi place, then we're all going to a late showing of The Hunger Games.
Furniture is getting delivered sometime tomorrow (hoping the rain holds off until after it arrives). My H had a craptastic week at work (he flew home last night and found out today he needs to go back next week), so I'm going to plan something fun for us tomorrow night.
I can't wait to see your new room!
Right?! I'm going to take a walk and get some DD iced coffee right now.
Sorry YH had a crap week! I hope you guys both have a great weekend!
I'd definitely recommend "The Artist" I really enjoyed it.

~~PAIF/SAIF Welcome~~
I'll take some pictures. So I'm going with the accent chair I originally posted and then S chose the couch. I knew I liked the style of the chair and was OK with swapping ot the fabric/design. So the store allowed us to take home some fabric samples. We stared at those samples for almost a week. Seeing how they looked in the daylight/natural lighting versus in the evenings when the house lights were on. Then I realized we were kind of limited in colors because there are 5 windows near the ceiling (the room has an 18 ft ceiling, so these windows were all up around the perimeter) and a few years ago I had custom blinds made for them. And of course instead of a neutral color, I went with a mossy green instead. Durrrr... So we now have to take that into account when coordinating the room.
Turns out the fabric in the chair that I posted goes perfectly with the little bit of color that's already there. The couch S chose was a dark chocolate brown. So to brighten the room I'm going to work on finding some room accents that will pull out colors from the chair.
We're movng the sectional into the basement tomorrow morning. I'm pretty certain one of us will get injured in the process.
I wish it was 5:00 already. It's raining outside, I am tired, and am ready to get this weekend started.
Ha, between moving the rear-projection tv to the basement and putting together an Ikea sofa, I'm amazed I'm still married.
Seriously! Those TVs are heavy and awkward.
Did I ever tell the story about how S fell through the ceiling/drywall in our last house?
GLW~ I am jealous of your plans! I always am though, you are always doing such fun things.
Otter~ I am jealous of yours too, I am dying to go to San Fran. I am planning a trip there in late Aug or early Sept. I plan to do a few days in each SF, Sonoma & Napa.
I wont be seeing Hunger Games soon because I want to read the book first. Tonight I'm grilling and drinking some wine. My sis is going to the Caribbean so shes bringing her 2 pups over for me to keep while shes gone. She'll stay for dinner and a glass or so.
Tomorrow I'm grooming a dog and going on a bike ride if the weather clears up. Sun we will probably go visit H's grandpa who recently had a heart attack.
We were prepping the house to put it on the market. One evening I was in the Master bedroom taping the baseboards so I could paint the next day. S decides we "need" a cable jack on the opposite side of the room from where the current one is positioned. The walk-in closet had access to the attic so all 6 ft and 4 in of him climbed into the attic and I could hear him crawling around above me fishing for the cable wires.
He starts making his way back (he had to crouch down on his hands and knees and go from beam to beam), I hear this creak and then he suddenly busts through the ceiling onto the floor. The cats are diving under the bed, insulation is flying everywhere, he amazingly didn't hit the ceiling fan on the way down, and he hits the floor with a huge thud. He doesn't say anything, just looks completely stunned. He looks at the ceiling and immediately gets pissed that he now has to patch the ceiling and repaint it.
He ended up with only a few bruises.
I'm glad he's okay! I admit that made me laugh.
Oh my! I am so glad he's okay!!
