So I found out yesterday that my DH parents are staying for the weekend, and will arriving 8-9 tonight. After spending hours on the road, I figured it might be better (and cheaper) to cook. I really don't want to go nor have the time to go grocery shopping.
Any quick, easy and parent impressive meals that I can whip up in less than 50 minutes using stuff in my pantry. I have plenty of chicken and ground beef in the freezer, with a few other meats too. I also have pasta and a few other staple items. Thoughts? I was thinking a soup, that way I can freeze it if they're not hungry or would rather go out, but it'll be like 70 degrees here And it needs to me simple, I've had bad luck lately cooking on Fridays lately, I don't know why, but my friday night recipes have been bad. real bad.
THANKS!

soup or chili.
how about a tortilla soup (either with chicken or beef), those tend to use pantry items.
