help please- wood glue?

I am making a hair accessory frame thing for my niece.  I already painted the wood and now I need to glue some letters on it and also ribbon.  What type of glue should I use?

Re: help please- wood glue?

  • Just a lurker here, but if the pieces are really light weight you could probably just use a hot glue gun.
  • Any kind of craft glue would be fine, I like both the Mono glue and Fiskars. For the ribbon hot glue would be the best, unless you are covering up where you glue b/c it'll show through (hot glue won't as much).

  • I normally use either a glue gun or Elmer's wood glue for this kind of thing. If the letters are also wood, the Elmer's wood glue is a better bet since it is specifically meant to hold wood on wood. For the ribbon, hot glue is better since it's less likely to soak through the fabric and spot it.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • tacky glue should also work.
