Dog Beds Recommendations.

Please recommend the dog bed you have for your little furbaby.

We have a cheap petsmart one, which was fluffy & nice the first month.  Now, it looks old and doesn't provide much support.

My doxie is a little older now, 8yo.  So I will need something cushy and durable.

We had a puppia years ago, I miss it.

Re: Dog Beds Recommendations.

  • I just ordered two for my boys from groupon, I'm not sure if the deal is still going on or not but it's for a dogpedic bed.  I haven't received them yet but I can't wait until they get them, I think they're both going to love it!  We just got a new house with hardwood floors and the only carpet left is on the stairs because we didn't get any treads yet.  Guess where they hang out all the time and I almost trip over them?

I've heard the Kong beds are good also.

  • I just got my girl a kong bed - they are a little pricey, but she has destroyed her last two.  It was on sale at PetSmart.  This one has nice strong bottom, not the papery thin material most of them have undeneath - plus it zips off for cleaning.  She's had it 2 weeks and so far so good - no signs of destruction!

  • We got ours at Bass Pro Shop (not sure if you are near one of those).  It is made for older dogs - almost has a tempurpedic feel to it.   Our dog is only 3 yrs old but we got it for her because she doesn't like the fluffy bed.  She LOVES this one.  It was about $50.

  • These Katie Puff beds are very pricey but very good.  I havent purchased one myself because they are so expensive but my sis has one for each of her pups and they have lasted a very long time.  Shes had them years and the stuffing hasnt deflated at all.  My dog loves it and runs right to it every time we go to her house.

  • For our 7 year old Scottie I recently got a West Paw Designs bed. It is donut shaped and he loves it. Lots of padding and seems to be holding up well. (Got it in January if I remember correctly.) it was pretty pricey, but has wonderful reviews and B now prefers it to the couch.

  • We also have a west paw bed. Worth every penny! I have the Eco Slumber design, which is a bit different than the donut shape jeeps mentioned. As a fellow long bodied dog parent, this works great. It kind of gently folds around Hank like a taco and he can still stretch out.

I really can't say enough good about westpaw!
