Apparently the charity people did pick it up. 
I don't understand that one, since they have left behind stuff in the past that the label had blown off of, and clearly, this package had my name on it, not theirs, but better them than a thief in our safe little neighborhood.
The very nice woman who took care of the whole thing today apologized for the box having been opened, but assured me that the packing slip and all of the items were there. Their driver will bring it by sometime today, so I am not going anywhere.

You would be more dumbfounded if you could see the box. It is at least 18"x18"x36", which is crazy big when you are looking at it sitting on the porch. And it weighed quite a bit.
I think the guy was afraid to bring it, and waited until the end of the day. I surprised him by just being grateful to have my stuff. He offered to bring it in for me, but I think he forgot that since it was open and I could just bring it in one or two items at a time.
Now it's like my birthday or Christmas, opening packages and looking at all of my purchases. I'm expecting two more packages today (tonight? It is already 5...) so I can continue the celebration.
