Finance People

I am ready to kill the finance people at the car dealership. My grandfather is co-signing but what they tried to do was for him to get the complete lowest rate, wanted him to go to his own bank and finance the car there. He is like I will guarantee the financing of your car but I will not go through my bank, etc. They have done so many circles around him that he cannot see straight. This is a business man who worked in an execute position for IBM and Lockheed Martin and they are trying to run circles around the guy. So I called the finance guy and told him hey you need to do it and he is just cosigning a loan and that is it. No special tecniques or whatever. The original financial guy understood that - I dont think that they other ones do. I am ready to blow a gasket.

Are you buying through a dealership? Or financing through a different bank?
When we financed the new car we got pre-approved at our bank and then we went to the dealership and said "can you beat x%"? They said they could match it, so we just went through the dealership and it was super easy.

Do you have any cash on hand that you could just buy something super cheap that you can pay cash for?

no we don't that's why we need to finance something. If this doesn't work, I am going to do what you did and then go shopping at other places. this is ridiculous.
