Can I get some pestie vibes, please?

I've mentioned that one of my Persians, Samson, has Polycystic Kidney Disease, which has led to chronic renal failure. He seems to be doing fine at the moment, but he's going in for a blood check tomorrow, so fingers crossed!

Anyway, my real concern is his sister, Delilah. Because they are littermates, and Samson has PKD, she has a 50/50 shot at having it (one of their parents had to have had it, and if she inherited the gene, she'll have it). We are getting a kidney ultrasound for her tomorrow just to see if she has cysts. If so, we'll proceed accordingly (she has no signs of renal failure yet, but we'll talk to the vet about what, if anything, to do), and if she doesn't then YAY. Because it's hard enough giving Sam his subcutaneous fluid, and Delilah would be so much worse, because she has so much more attitude!

So please, if you guys can spare a thought for Delilah and just hope that she doesn't have polycystic kidneys? Thank you so much.
