See OP: Cleaning lady is coming for the first time tomorrow
Oh man, I love this! I came home today and the place is just so clean and shiny. I felt an instant sense of relief and calm when I walked in. I am definitely loving the idea of having her come every week to keep it this way.
As for the Nestie who said that this was a "sucky" birthday gift from my H, I have no idea why anyone would ever think that let alone say that to someone. Maybe you didn't read that this was what I asked for. I think getting a gift that makes me happy is a totally non-sucky idea. Yeah, ok, he gets to benefit too, but it's me that stresses out when the place is not clean. That's worth more than any material gift he could give me.
Re: F/U: My apartment is cleaaaaannnnnn!
Exactly! And Happy Birthday!
Yes, someone really said that. I don't get it either.
Thanks, BridesMom.
Wow, someone had their panties in a bunch when they responded to you yesterday! LOL!
So glad he finally got smeone to come in and clean. I know you've wanted someone for a loooong time.

We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)

Yeah, I really don't know what his hangup was all about. I can't wait to hear what he thinks of her work and having her come in regularly.
Jealous! That sounds like an awesome birthday gift!

YAY!
You know what my H bought me last year? A truckload of cement. I was thrilled.
I didn't get where poster was headed with that statement either. It was clear you wanted it all along. And moreso WTH? Not having to clean my house for awhile sounds like the greatest present ever!
Dude, I'm jealous too. Sometimes I think I would give my left arm to come home to completely clean house. I hate how it seems to get out of hand during the week. There's just no time! By the time we get home from work, eat dinner, clean up after the meal, play with DD, and put her to bed, we're exhausted. I pick up toys and do a load of laundry or two, but dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and general organization often get left behind.
LOL. Only you, Dairy. Only you.
