Ladies with babies and dogs

Recommend your top-of-stairs gate.

We have one like THIS, but Zoe decided to use it as a teether. It's pretty chewed up, and we'd like to replace it with something sturdy, but nice looking (since it's right in line with our front door. I've been looking at some metal ones, but they all seem to have a fixed bottom, that I'm pretty sure I will trip over and roll down the hall.

Re: Ladies with babies and dogs

  • I was just lurking. I have a 22 month old. For our top of stairs we use a metal one by Regalo. This is the wide version but there is a narrow one too. It rocks. It has a built-in door so you don't have to climb over it. Price is high, but it's worth it. Also it can be hard mounted or tension mounted. We use tension and were skeptical that it would actually hold, but it has stood up to DS rocking and climbing up on it.
