I just ordered the Slim Cognito Shaping Mid-Thigh Bodysuit in Nude:

Do you have any Spanx products? What is your opinion on them? I keep hearing raves about their bodyshapers, but I've never tried them out.

i have this one.. i like it.. but it is a pain to go to the bathroom.. sorry if TMI.. it does good shaping you and just really holding everything in..

Haha I bet it's hard to pee! I'm hoping the fact that it smoothes out my problem areas outweighs that downside.

I have other pieces and find that they really can't be replicated.  Spanx are as comfortable of a shaping garment as you will get.  The Assets brand that they make for Target aren't nearly as good IMHO.  I love their tights in the Winter and have a slip that really smoothes out everything under my very fitted wool sweater dresses.  As long as you get the right fit, I'm sure you'll love them.  I usually find them at Nordstrom Rack and buy them there for a lot less.

I have that one and I try not to pee. I did wear it on my wedding day which required a pee. It has a slit in the pee area so it was totally doable. I wear spanx everyday. I can't stand the free flowing feeling anymore. heh

I have this one which I found at Nordstrom Rack for about half the price.  I have it in the nude color which works really well for me since I have gray, tan, and black sweater dresses.  I really like the wider straps since they don't cut into my shoulders and it hides bra lines under the really fitted dresses.  It's also really comfortable, even if I have on Spanx tights too since it's only medium strength shaping.

I wish I could stand wearing those things, as I sure as heck need it, but I can't stand shape wear, even Spanx.  The only time I'll wear one is if I'm in a wedding.  I can't even stand the Spanx panty hose and was pissed when Lane Bryant stopped carrying their own brand of hose and stared carrying Spanks.  They are crazy expensive, hard to get on, and I just don't like the feeling of having something tight on.

They're not comfortable. If I need a little control, I wear pantyhose. They're enough for me, and they're cheaper.

I bought a thing of Spanx for my wedding day.  Looking back from being heavier now, I don't know why I used it.  It was super comfortable though for me.  But I haven't used it since because when I took it off, it gave me little tiny pimples all over my torso where it touched my body.  But I can have bad skin allergies though (totally random too).  It scared me because it took more than a month for the rash and pimples to go away.

I love Spanx.  I always wear mine under tight dresses or for special occasions.

I think if you're that uncomfortable in it, you might be wearing the wrong size.
