From Spinner.com, I think the list is good. These are not in any particular order:
Reality Bites ~ definitely my fave ever! I have it on tape and CD, lol
Pump Up The Volume
Colors
Natural Born Killers
Dazed and Confused ~ a must have, IMO!
Singles ~ not a well known movie but the CD had a good mix of grunge Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Screaming Trees, Smashing Pumpkins , Pearl Jam
Trainspotting
Garden State
Judgement Night
Go
The Crow ~ another classic IMO, I did have this one
Romeo and Juliet
Kids
Pretty In Pink
8 Mile
Thoughts, Criticism or additions you would make?
My only beef is that I am surprised there were not Tarantino soundtracks on there, I thought Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction both had good ones. Also, Wayne's World was another soundtrack that I had both the tape and CD for, so obviously it's a classic for me. I also thought The Matrix soundtrack was a good one, it had Rage against the Machine, the Deftones, Bush, and a good mix of electronica.
Re: Best Movie Soundtracks
No "Footloose" or "Breakfast Club"? Where's the John Hughes love (besides "Pretty in Pink")?
I agree with the "Singles" soundtrack.
yes yes, no Disney movies? For shame!
Also, I am sure it is because of her strong influence in area of residence but it seems like I know quite a few people who own the Selena soundtrack. "Dreaming of You", "I Could Fall in Love", and her rendition of "Funky Town/I Will Survive" were the best songs off of that one, which I also do have on CD.
I love
Dirty Dancing
The Bodyguard
Ocean's 11 & 12
Armageddon
Night at the Roxbury
Titanic
and pretty much every Disney movie
All of this, plus Top Gun and Forest Gump.

Good pick, guys!
Ah, Pretty in Pink--soundtrack to my teenage angst! Love it.
I'd like to add Until the End of the World
Pulp Fiction
