Dogs, Pollen and Human Allergies? (PIP)

If you have allergies, do you wipe your pet down after coming in from outside?  If so, what?  I'm just looking for ways to control what I can when it comes to DHs allergies, and I'm sure Maxx is  bringing in pollen when comes from outside.

Oh, and per the Pets board rules, here's a pic of Maxx

Re: Dogs, Pollen and Human Allergies? (PIP)

  • Yes. I get pet wipes at my local pet store (major pet-store chains have them, too). I also brush all our pets more frequently during allergy season. Typically, allergy season is the same time as summer for us, so the dogs get more baths.

I LOVE the wipes! They really work, and I can use them on our cat with him getting too ticked off at me.  AND inexpensive! BONUS!

Honestly - I have no clue. I tend to buy what's on sale/cheapest at the time. They all have the same ingredients. You can get "all natural/organic" type ones if you're into that kind of thing. Some have scents, some dont (scents might aggravate allergies more, though.)

  • I use kirkland unscented baby wipes (costco) on my dogs for other purposes but I think you could use them to remove allergens as well.

I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love.
  • I use Huggies Natural baby wipes for quick clean ups.

  • Thanks all.  I'll get some wipes this week.
  • I don't, but I should!
