My inlaws are cheap. They're all about saving money where you can.

It's been chilly here the last few days, and at night it's cold enough to warrant using the heat. However, now that DH and I pay our own bills for everything, money is precious, yo. I refuse to turn on the heat...I told DH to put on more clothes

I'm the opposite. If H is cold, he either sucks it up, puts on a shirt, or turns on the heat (depending on the month). If I'm hot we have to turn the AC on or the fan on higher because I'm heat sensitive.

This is similar in our house. Though it is if either of are hot, we turn on the A.C. We pretty much never turn on our heat, unless we have company.

Same here, I almost refuse to use the heat unless it drops below 40 degrees.   We just pile on clothing and blankets, luckily it doesn't get that cold here very often.  The A/C we try to be conservative about during the heat of the day, but at night I do not like to sweat so I like to crank it at night.

We do not use heat, period. Unless, pipes are going to freeze or something. Air is another story.

H would KILL me if he came home to a cold house in the winter. I just roll my eyes at him

I'm all about finding coupons and discounts to get the best deal.  Once it hit the 60s here recently I turned off the heat and refuse to put it back on (if I can at all avoid it).
