None of the doctors in a tri-city area are available for a month. Seems that everyone has their kids in for allergies and crap. One of the nurses told me to get Prevacid and go on a bland diet and to take the prevacid for 2 weeks and if it doesn't feel better then to try to make an appointment. So it looks like I get to add ANOTHER medicine to my morning regimine! Yay!

Re: :( s/o stomach
That's B.S.! You know the keep slots for emergency appointments. Call back and ask to have one of those - or tell them you'll go to the emergency room.
I'm so sorry you don't feel good!

I'm just a lurker but I wanted to tell you it sounds like the norovirus to me. The norovirus is stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea. My doctor said there is a big outbreak of it right now, granted I am in MA and I don't know where you are but so many people have had it recently. It usually only lasts a few days, unfortunately it lasted about 10 days for me. Anyway, if that is what it is all you can do is keep yourself hydrated and try to eat whenever you feel like it.
Is there an urgent care center near you? We have them all over the place here and I don't even TRY to go to a regular doctor anymore. The copay for me is like $10 higher but I consider it $10 well spent.
Push fluids so you don't dehydrate and go to an ER if you have symptoms of dehydration. T&P!
My Blog
My insurance doesn't cover walk in clinics or else I'd be there now.
All the emergency slots are taken which is why the nurse gave me the advice she did. She told me to keep calling if I needed to but to try the BRAT diet first. I also got some antacids at the grocery store.
And I'll look to see if there is any info about then norovirus breaking out here in South Tejas.
do not have an ER?
